SJK is governed by a fifteen member Board of Governors representing school, parent, alumni and community constituents including rotating representatives from the University of Waterloo, University of Guelph, Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College. The Board adheres to a clear set of by-laws and best practices that are based on national and international standards. The Board also has several standing committees including Nominating, Finance, Development and Fundraising and Audit that assist in building the strategic direction of the School. The School's fundraising is done through the SJK Foundation, with an independent Board that supports the School's fundraising objectives.

The teaching staff comes from across Canada and are either members of the Ontario College of Teachers or have received IB training. Teachers are selected on the basis of their experience, expertise, degrees in education, and their willingness to be fully involved in extra-curricular programs. SJK faculty are a dedicated group, always willing to support student growth and success.
