IB Diploma Programme Coordinator
Located in Waterloo Region, Ontario, St. John's-Kilmarnock School (SJK) is an independent, not-for-profit, university preparatory day school (K-12). SJK is expanding its IB programmes as an established PYP school and as a candidate school for the MYP, and Diploma Programmes. We are seeking a Diploma Programme (DP) Coordinator to lead our anticipated first cohort of students in the DP programme in September 2012. Candidates must be experienced IB teachers with the qualifications necessary to administer and lead the evolving IB programme for the school community. Reporting to the Upper School Director, the IB Coordinator will likely be involved in 30% IB coordination and 70% teaching at the DP or MYP levels. Central to this position includes an attention to detail and the ability to work in a collaborative and supportive manner with colleagues; a deep understanding of the continuum from PYP and MYP programmes; and, strong knowledge of Ontario Ministry of Education requirements and overlapping objectives with the IB. IB Spanish Teacher
SJK is seeking a qualified Teacher of Spanish at the IB Diploma Programme (DP) level. Candidates should be native or near-native Spanish speakers ready to engage students in language learning. Elementary School Principal in China: Call for Expression of Interest
We are inviting applicants for the position of principal, who are dedicated to academic excellence, a commitment to innovation, exceptional communication and leadership skills, a willingness to embrace cultural change and a skilled administrator. Interviews are planned for late March, 2012.
The successful candidate is expected to begin this September 2012, arriving in China in late August 2012.
School & Location
The Canadian International School in Kunshan, China, is located less than 45 minutes by car from Shanghai and approximately 18 minutes by high speed rail. Initially, it will be Grade (s) JK to 8 inclusive but it the intent is to incorporate a secondary school program. Working together on this project is SJK, an independent, non-profit K-12 International Baccalaureate (IB) World School celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2012; and INFOworks Education First Global, an international educational consulting and recruitment firm, with over 13 years of experience in China.
The Program

A New and Exciting Teaching Experience for JK-8 Teachers
Plans are underway to open an international School in Kunshan, Jiangsu Province, China in September 2012.
The Canadian International School of Kunshan, China, is located in Kunshan, approximately 45 minutes by vehicle from Shanghai; 18 minutes by high speed rail. The school will begin with JK-8 classes, with plans to expand and incorporate a secondary school program.
The maximum class size planned for CISK is 25 students and all classes will be taught in English. The Canadian International School, Kunshan will offer the Ontario Education Model, while drawing from the strengths of the International Baccalaureate (IB) syllabus-enriched by educational resources recommended and shared by St. John's-Kilmarnock School, with support from experts in the field of education.
