SJK's coaching staff brings enthusiasm and expertise to the field to help student athletes develop to their full potential. Leanne Dietrich, B.Sc. (University of Waterloo), B.Ed. (University of Western Ontario), M.Ed. (UWO) Leanne is SJK's Athletic Director and leads and coaches in the field hockey program. Leanne was introduced to the sport in grade 9 at South Huron District High School where she was an OFSAA gold medalist in 1989. As a student at the University of Waterloo in the 1990s she was named Rookie of Year, Mike Moser Award winner, Female Athlete of Year and she has represented Ontario in national competition and was a club and provincial coach including the Team Ontario Summer Games Coach (2000, 2006). Leanne coached the University of Western Ontario team from 1995-1998, co-coached the University of Waterloo 2001-2003 and was named OUA Coach of the Year in 1997. An SJK faculty member since 1998, she was awarded the OFSAA Leadership in School Sport Award in 2009.
Guy Zink, B.A., B.Ed, (University of Western Ontario). Guy started the SJK field hockey program in 1985 and despite retiring from active teaching, he has remained central to the success of SJK's field hockey programme to this day. He was Ontario U14 Program Regional Coach 1995-97, coached Team Ontario at the Summer Games, served as K-W Olympic Field Hockey Youth Coach from 1998-99 and coached the University of Waterloo from 2007-09. He is the winner of numerous awards including the McNally Award CWOSSA in 2001, OFSAA Leadership in Sport Award 2002 and OFSAA Pete Beech Award in 2005. A former competitive wrestler, Guy was inducted in the University of Western Ontario Athletics Hall of Fame in 2010.
