Our balanced approach to academic, athletic, artistic and cultural programs encourages our students to explore local, national and global environments and to develop confidence, courage, leadership, respect for others, an awareness of spirituality and a commitment to lifelong fitness and well-being.

At SJK students work and grow in a safe and respectful environment. Through participation in our strong extracurricular, community service and outdoor programs, students take their places as responsible and caring members of the community.

A community is defined by that which it values. SJK's community values have their origins in the beliefs of those who founded our School in Elora in 1972. They include input from all parts of the contemporary School community and from the broad spectrum of School constituencies represented at the mission and values Workshop (January 2004). In many parts of North America, the concept of teaching values at school is a controversial one. We believe that the values laid out in this plan are attractive to all segments of society and form a code that will help our students to be happy and productive citizens in the 21st century.
