Welcome to SJK Commons!

Learning Commons & Dining Hall

In 2014, our SJK Foundation members set an ambitious goal to raise
$5 million for the new Learning Commons and Dining Hall Campaign.

Funded through the support of our generous donors, the 2-storey 18,000 square-foot facility features an innovative open-concept library commons, several collaborative learning spaces and a community dining area that seats up to 325.

The Learning Commons and Dining Hall project, ably guided by the Newton Group and the SJK Build Committee, opened its doors to students, faculty, and staff on March 29, 2016.

Making an Impact

This community has not only supported our children through their educational growth, they have supported their spiritual, social and mental milestones. SJK is not just a school, it is a family, and we are honoured to be able to give back to our family in some small gesture.

—James and Sharon Hutton, Guidance Centre supporters

SJK Commons is designed to provide students with 21st-century learning skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, self-discipline, leadership, collaboration and information/communication technology (ITC) literacy.

Grand Opening

The official Opening Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016.
