Applicants must be passionate teachers with a degree or advanced degree in a related field, teaching certification and experience (with eligibility for the Ontario College of Teachers). A willingness to participate in the full life of the School and its extensive co-curricular program is essential. International Baccalaureate (IB) experience, training and international-mindedness are considered significant assets. SJK offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including participation in the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan. Eligibility to work in Canada is required.

Current Opportunities

Full-Time Lower School Classroom Teacher - Kindergarten

The School is seeking a highly motivated and committed educator to join our Lower School Faculty in our Kindergarten program. This full-time, fixed term position will commence as soon as a suitable candidate is available, and no later than January, 2018. The contract will run until June 2018, with the possibility of renewal in September 2018.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and innovative teacher who appreciates working in a collaborative environment, dedicated to the highest standards of teaching and learning. Experience and training in the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme is considered an asset. The candidate must hold relevant experience and qualifications. Candidates should also have experience using technology in the classroom and be willing to coach and sponsor co-curricular activities.


Part-Time Lower School Classroom French Teacher

SJK is seeking an outstanding part-time, Lower School French Teacher. This position will commence as soon as a suitable candidate is available. The candidate will ideally be a native French speaker or possess native-like fluency in spoken and written French. The candidate must hold relevant experience and qualifications.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and innovative teacher who appreciates working in a collaborative environment, dedicated to the highest standards of teaching and learning. Knowledge and experience with inquiry-based learning and the IB programmes is considered an asset. Candidates should also have experience using technology in the classroom and be willing to coach and sponsor co-curricular activities.
