Financial Assistance Program
SJK is committed to ensuring access to students of merit regardless of means.
However, as a not-for-profit, fee-dependent school, our financial resources are limited. The Financial Assistance Program offers partial funding to new and returning students.
To qualify, interested students must excel in academics, embrace the School's programmes, mission and values, and clearly demonstrate financial need. Financial Assistance applicants must complete an independent financial assessment through Apple Financial Services. Recommendations by Apple Financial Services are not a guarantee of Financial Assistance.
Please note: Assessments are required on an annual basis for returning families. New students must apply for admission and be accepted prior to submitting an application for Financial Assistance.
Students receiving Financial Assistance are expected to abide by all school policies and families agree to pay the costs related to fees and additional expenses less the value of the Financial Assistance awarded.
Financial Assistance Application
» Apple Financial Services Application
The Financial Assistance application closes on March 31, 2017.
Please be sure to apply before this deadline.
Please note that February 1 is the Financial Assistance application deadline for returning families. For new families, Financial Assistance will be distributed on a rolling basis to qualified applicants until all available funds have been distributed. Returning student awards will be prioritized: new student awards will be distributed after February 1. We recommend that all families who require Financial Assistance apply as early as possible to avoid disappointment, as funds are limited. We are currently accepting applications at www.applefinancialservices.ca.
New student Financial Assistance applications may be submitted any time prior to March 31, 2017.
New student awards will be made after February 1, 2017.
IB Entrance Bursaries
New students entering Grades 9-11 will be automatically considered for a one-time IB Entrance Bursary.
This award is a modest partial bursary, to be credited toward tuition for the first year of study only. Award availability is limited. Bursaries will be awarded to exceptional candidates based on their application for admission. Academic results, entrance test results, demonstrated leadership ability and an interview with the Director of Enrolment will be taken into consideration.
IB Entrance Bursaries are available to Canadian students only. Students must apply for admission prior to March 31, 2017 in order to be considered for the IB Entrance Bursary.
