Camp Kilmarnock 2017 has something for everyone - camp games, songs, crafts, and activities combined with opportunities to learn, develop leadership skills, foster new friendships and build self-esteem.
Situated on the beautiful 36-acre campus of St. John’s-Kilmarnock School, we turn our campus into one big adventure centre!

Inventonauts (Ages 4-6)
Inventonauts participants will use all five senses to experience various themes. Participants will use their experience to imagine and build creations which apply to their topics of exploration. Inventonauts is designed to teach children about applying learning to problem solve. Participants will be encouraged to use creative thinking, problem solving and tactile skills to fully experience the world around them.Growing Groovers (Ages 6-9)
Growing Groovers is designed to allow participants to experience various styles of dance, while practicing core dance techniques. With the help of experienced counsellors, participants will have the chance to demonstrate their learning by choreographing and presenting a group dance for the other camps at the end of the week. Dancers of varying skill levels will find their skills improving due to attentive and skilled counsellors with over 10 years of competitive dance experience.Kids in the Kitchen (Ages 7-12)
Kids in the Kitchen is designed for children who are interested in improving their skills in the culinary arts. Participants will have the chance to practice various culinary techniques using fresh and healthy ingredients. Campers will have the chance to demonstrate their learning by making a cooking show episode where they will work together to demonstrate how to cook a meal of the groups choice.Guitar Gods (Ages 9-12)
Guitar Gods gives participants the exciting opportunity to participate in Camp Kilmarnock’s first ever music-based camp. Participants will practice techniques, while learning new ones to add to their repertoire. With the help of experienced counsellors, participants will have the chance to demonstrate their learning by coordinating and performing a group number to the rest of the camps at the end of the week. Please note children must bring their own guitars each day (acoustic preferred); if electric, child must bring their own amplifier as well.Sports Fitness (Ages 6-9 & 7-12)
Sports Fitness Camp will provide participants high-level instruction from SJK Varsity athletes. Participants will take part in daily fitness training aimed to improve their overall athletic capabilities. Participants will also complete various sport specific drills helping them to improve in various sports including hockey, football, soccer, basketball, European handball and much more.Half-court Hoops (Ages 10-12)
Half-court Hoops participants will participate in various skills, drills and games aimed at improving their basketball skills. Individual attention will be provided by SJK Division 1 Varsity players to help participants hone their skills and take their game to the next level. Participants will take part in daily basketball-specific fitness training to help improve their on court skills.Senior Setters (Ages 10-12)
Senior Setters will give campers of varying skill levels the chance to improve at the sport of volleyball. Campers will participate in a variety of games and drills which will help them to improve various facets of their volleyball game. Whether a beginner or seasoned veteran, each child will benefit from individual instruction, provided by SJK Division 1 Varsity players. Participants will take part in daily, volleyball specific fitness training to help improve their on court skills.Senior Strikers (Ages 10-12)
Senior Strikers participants will participate in various skills, drills and games aimed at improving their soccer skills. Participants of all levels and experience will benefit from individualized instruction from SJK Division 1 Varsity players. Participants will take part in daily, soccer specific fitness training to help improve their on field skills.
Counsellor-In-Training (Ages 12-14)
The Counsellor-In-Training Camp is an exciting opportunity for campers who aspire to be camp counsellors in the future. Participants will focus on the various skills required to be an effective camp counsellor, including conflict resolution, interview skills, and leading activities. After completing the week of camp, participants will be invited to put their new skills to the test as a volunteer with our camps for one or both of the remaining weeks.
