Thank you for supporting SJK's 20th annual Terry Fox Run

Spirits were high leading up to SJK’s 20th annual Terry Fox Run on October 18 on campus. With a goal to see every SJK student and faculty member, along with a handful of parents, engaging in this meaningful event through pledging ($5+ donation) and participating (walking or running for 30 minutes on the same field, at the same time), a tangible buzz filled the air.

Preceding the run, participants were moved and inspired at an assembly featuring guest speakers, Mackenzie Knight ‘18, Grade 10 student Jannah S. and Brendan of the Terry Fox Foundation. This was followed by a spirited rendition of house cheers!

In the end, well over 2000 laps were run, and over $10,000 raised, with a final total of $10,012.75 being donated to the Terry Fox Foundation to further cancer research! Special thanks to our three Grade 12 Terry Fox Run leaders, Haya, Zain, and Avery, who executed t-shirt sales, the assembly, and the run itself with creativity and poise.
