Ways to Give

The Annual Giving Program at SJK

This inclusive and community-based fundraising initiative encourages parents, alumni, staff, past parents, extended family members and friends to make a financial gift to the SJK Foundation.

Gifts to the annual fund program help bridge the gap between tuition and the real cost of a year at SJK. Contributions immediately and directly provide resources for academic resources, a digital infrastructure, athletic equipment, building maintenance, visual and performing arts programming, and every other aspect of campus life.

The annual fund fiscal year runs from July 1 through June 30 each year. Annual Fund donations are 100% tax-deductible.

Double the Donation

Many Canadian companies offer matching gift programs where they'll match their employee's donations to eligible nonprofit organizations, often at 1:1 or 2:1 ratios.

To double the value of your donation, ask your personnel, human resources or public relations department if your employer has a matching gift program. To see the list of matching gift companies click here.

For US Residents

SJK, along with over 20 other Canadian Independent Schools, has partnered with an organization called FRISBE or "Friends of Independent Schools and Better Education" which makes giving more attractive to SJK alumni and friends who reside in the United States.

If you wish to make a tax deductible donation to SJK, please make your donation to FRISBE using this form which requests that their Board make a grant to us. FRISBE will issue you a receipt for a United States donation.

The United States Treasury Department, Internal Revenue Service, includes the Friends of Independent Schools and Better Education in its "Cumulative List of Organizations" described in Section 170(c) of the Internal Revenue Code which are exempt from Federal Income taxes under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions and gifts to the Friends of Independent Schools and Better Education are deductible for Federal Income Tax purposes to the full extent permitted by law. Federal Tax Number 91-1216755.

Please note that transfers from FRISBE to SJK will be made in lump sums, at six month intervals. We invite you to contribute to our School and to use the services of FRISBE if it will be to your advantage.
