Mr. Jordan Grant

DP Coordinator and DP Teacher
B.A. (Queen's University), B.Math (University of Waterloo)
Member of Brant House

After growing up in Stratford, Ontario, Mr. Jordan Grant attended the University of Waterloo and Queen’s University, beginning his career teaching in independent schools, which led him to SJK in 2012.

Mr. Grant brings a passion for learning, problem solving and technology to SJK’s Upper School students. His education philosophy is to encourage students to develop a lifelong love of learning to ensure they feel comfortable acquiring new skills and knowledge throughout their lives. He believes that learning should be something that empowers students and fulfills them, so pursuing learning about passions and interest is something he encourages all students to do in the classroom and beyond.

His favourite aspect about SJK is the community. One of Mr. Grant’s favourite events of the year is Eaglemania. He feels it’s such a highlight due to the intersection of Lower School and Upper School. He enjoys seeing the older students act as mentors and guides to younger students, forging bonds and creating friendships. He appreciates that the faculty and staff, student body, and parent community are very supportive of each other.
