Mrs. Rebecca Dufour

Mrs. Rebecca Dufour began her career when she accepted a teaching contract at an IB school in Nova Scotia (Kings Edgehill School) as an Upper School English Teacher and Learning Support Program Coordinator. After two years out east, she decided to move back to Ontario to be closer to family and friends.

Mrs. Dufour was drawn to SJK’s natural campus in 2011 and she brought with her a passion for teaching, learning, assistive technology and a desire to work with youth to improve their learning experiences. Mrs. Dufour is deeply inspired by the students she works with; she finds their levels of compassion, leadership, self-reflection, and capacity to self-advocate to be very impressive. Her education philosophy is that every student can learn and achieve at high levels and she absolutely believes in the School’s mission to nurture all students to reach their potential according to their own interests, abilities and personal goals in an inclusive learning community.
