Mme Sargeant grew up in London, Ontario and fell in love with learning languages at a young age. She completed her undergraduate degree in French studies and psychology at the University of Western Ontario and her Master of Science degree in childhood education at Canisius College in the United States. She is certified to teach primary, junior and intermediate grades and has an additional qualification in physical education. Mme Sargeant taught English at a private school in Busan, South Korea for two years after university and spent some time travelling around Southeast Asia. Most recently, Mme Sargeant worked as a contract French Immersion Kindergarten teacher in the local public school board. She is looking forward to getting to know the SJK community and exploring the beautiful campus. Mme Sargeant enjoys travelling, the outdoors, sports, meeting new people, reading, and spending time with friends and family: her husband, two daughters, and dog.
