She has worked at the University of Toronto in student recruitment and outreach for the Faculty of Arts and Science. Most recently, she worked as Director of Admissions at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame in Wilcox, Saskatchewan. Mrs. Leeking recently obtained her Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, also from Acadia University.

Mrs. Leeking is a curious and adventurous world traveler who has journeyed to 16 countries worldwide, leaving many more on the bucket list! Before she committed herself to a career in education, she worked in theatre as a stage manager, administrator and publicist. She grew up in Peterborough, Ontario and has since lived in Nova Scotia, England, and Saskatchewan. She enjoys biking, canoeing, singing and camping, and is an aspiring mandolin player.

Mrs. Leeking has two young children in the Primary Years Programme; she loves meeting young people and their families and finds great reward in watching a student grow, from the moment they first consider their education options to the moment they graduate, and all of the successes that follow! She is honoured to be a part of the talented and passionate staff team at SJK, and sincerely looks forward to meeting you.
