Mr. Fayaz Noormohamed

Fayaz holds senior management experience in secondary and postsecondary education both in Canada and internationally. He currently serves as Senior Director, Strategy and Implementation in the Office of the President at the University of Waterloo where he leads and supports visioning, institutional planning, and cross-campus strategic initiatives. He has worked extensively with the Aga Khan Development Network to advance education, healthcare, and higher learning in Central and South Asia, East Africa, and the United Kingdom. Fayaz volunteers with several civil society organizations and boards including with the Shia Ismaili Muslim community in Canada and Southwest Ontario. His academic training includes advanced degrees and certificates in engineering, education, cultural studies, business administration, and higher education. Fayaz loves spending time connecting with nature alongside family and friends and embraces the joys of lifelong learning.
