Mr. Stephen Heron

Stephen is a parent of three students who attend SJK: Jackson, Emma and Xavier. An alumnus of St. Andrew’s College, he has experienced private school as a boarding student and later as a member of the St. Andrew’s College Association. Stephen has been on the SJK Board since 2014 and currently serves as a member of the Executive. He enjoys giving back to his adopted community of Waterloo and previously has been a member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Gala Committee, the Grand River Hospital Foundation Marketing Committee and recently has become a part of Wilfred Laurier University’s LaunchPAD program, serving as a mentor at the Brantford Campus. A marketing professional and entrepreneur, Stephen was a co-founder of Waterloo start-up TribeHR, a Social HR Software company that was acquired by NetSuite. He also operates Heron Communications Group a branding/marketing consultancy based in Waterloo.

Over the years, he has worked for and with many brands such as Samsung, Canon, Pioneer, Ricoh, Air Canada Vacations, Chevrolet, Acura and Hyundai as well as local companies in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Stephen is a licensed Commercial Real Estate Sales Representative with Cushman & Wakefield and focuses on office and retail leasing and land development.
