Ms. Meghan Bellamy

MYP & DP Teacher
B.Sc. (Wilfrid Laurier University), B.Ed. (University of Victoria), M.Ed. (University of Victoria)
Member of Tecumseh House

Ms. Meghan Bellamy was raised outside of a village, and spent her childhood years enjoying everything that living in the country had to offer, developing a love of nature as well as a strong work ethic. After completing her Master of Education degree at the University of Victoria, Ms. Bellamy eventually returned to Ontario and joined SJK in 2017 as a member of the Teaching Innovation Program (TIP). In her first year at SJK, Ms. Bellamy shared her keen interest in education, social justice, equality, and environmental stewardship with students, staff and faculty alike. She is a member of the SJK Boarding Program as a Boarding Associate and also functions as an Associate Teacher in the MYP and DP.

Ms. Bellamy’s education philosophy entails allowing students to learn in different ways, ask questions, explore their passions, and take risks, and to provide them with a safe place in which to do this. Her favourite aspects of SJK are Newton House (for its functional design) and the warmth of the SJK community.
