Miss. Misty Mapplebeck is an Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) and an honours graduate from Fanshawe College. She has spent the last three years working as a supply Educational Assistant in public education. Currently Miss Mapplebeck is also a student at Guelph Humber, completing her Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, with teachers college next on her list!
As someone who is neurodivergent and also a mom to a neurodivergent child, Miss Mapplebeck has a special interest in helping children with diverse needs feel supported, understood, and successful. She is a big believer in empathy, curiosity, child-led learning, getting outside, and giving children lots of opportunities to move and explore.
When she’s not at school, you can probably find Miss Mapplebeck reading, making soup, camping with her family, crafting, playing video games, or hanging out with her daughters or best friends.
Miss Mapplebeck is excited to bring her experience from public education and her passion for working with children to SJK and to get to know this wonderful community!
