Mrs. Angie Ethier began her career path in Early Childhood Education, working with children that have special needs. She was inspired by teachers she met along the way to continue her education and become a teacher herself. Mrs. Ethier joined SJK in 2008 as a Lower School teacher and one of her consistent happy moments is driving down the SJK driveway each morning while appreciating Chalmers Pond and the School’s fields. Mrs. Ethier feels that we are very fortunate to have lots of room for our students to roam, whether canoeing on the pond, climbing on the fallen tree playground or playing games in the trees - SJK students have so much to explore once they enter the gates!

Mrs. Ethier believes that a successful education begins with a student-driven approach and that children must be given the opportunity to find their passions and go with them. Problem solving, questioning and finding out, evaluating, and making meaningful connections are key components of an exciting and engaging classroom. Mrs. Ethier enjoys the SJK community and appreciated the ability she has to see students that she taught as children in Lower School grow up into young adults as they progress through SJK.
