Ms. Caroline Yalcin holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Queen’s University and a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Southern Illinois University.
She began her career as a project engineer with Ontario Hydro, working in Toronto, Kincardine, Sarnia, and Port Elgin, before moving into education. Ms. Yalcin has taught English in South Korea, served as a writing teacher at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, and later taught English and Computer Science at Bilkent Laboratory and International School (BLIS), a K–12 international school in Ankara.
After many years abroad, Ms. Yalcin is delighted to return home and to continue her teaching career at SJK. She first became acquainted with the School last year and is excited to be part of such a positive and principled learning community.
