Grand Opening of the SJK OmniCourt

The SJK OmniCourt, a versatile, state-of-the-art athletic surface, was officially opened immediately before the Community BBQ on September 5.

Grade 6 student Brock joined Interim Head of School Don Kawasoe to make remarks, and Allison McDaniel and Tamara Williams did the honours of cutting the ribbon.

Fully funded through the generosity of our community, this dynamic outdoor space supports a wide range of sports and recreational activities for students of all ages and abilities, including basketball, tennis, pickleball, hockey, skating, and free play.

The OmniCourt reflects our commitment to nurturing the whole student—mind, body, and spirit—by promoting well-being, connection, and healthy competition. This project marks a meaningful step forward in how we support student development beyond the classroom.

We are deeply grateful to the parents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends whose generosity made this vision a reality. Support came from many sources, including individual donors, gala sponsors, and auction participants. Special thanks to the Roaring 20s Gala Committee, whose efforts raised over $242,000 toward the project.
