The International Baccalaureate MYP

International Baccalaureate's Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) is a comprehensive approach to education that is based on the fundamental concepts of holistic learning, intercultural awareness, and communication. 

The IB Middle Years Programme meets the curriculum guidelines set forth by the Ontario Ministry of Education and is enriched to challenge students to stretch themselves academically and creatively. The MYP experience culminates in each student completing the Personal Project. 

MYP teachers recognize the importance of fostering meaningful relationships in a secure setting that allows students to become confident, independent, empathetic, and motivated life-long learners. To achieve this, our highly effective educators offer experiential and inquiry-based opportunities that actively engage students in the learning process. 

With a plethora of co-curricular activities and trips to choose from, MYP students participate in an athletic or co-curricular activity each term. They complete a minimum of 10 hours of community service through homeroom initiatives and are encouraged to pursue their compassionate passions outside of the classroom.

The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world.

The International Baccalaureate Mission

The International Baccalaureate® aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
