Member of Tecumseh House
Ms. Meghan Bellamy was raised outside a village and spent her childhood years enjoying everything that living in the country had to offer, developing a love of nature and a strong work ethic.
After graduating from Wilfrid Laurier University, she spent nine years on Vancouver Island, completing both her Bachelor of Education and Master of Education degrees during her time there. Ms. Bellamy eventually returned to Ontario and joined SJK in 2017 as a member of the Teaching Innovation Program (TIP). She then spent some years as a member of the SJK Boarding Program in a Boarding Associate role while teaching part-time. She is now a full-time teacher in the MYP and DP, as well as the Co-Curricular Coordinator for the Upper School.
Ms. Bellamy’s educational philosophy entails allowing students to learn in different ways, ask questions, explore their passions, and take risks, and providing them with a safe place to do so. Her favourite aspects of SJK are Newton House (for its functional design) and the warmth of the SJK Community.
