Ms. Andreea Batts

Mrs. Andreea Batts holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in mathematics from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa. She is also an Ontario Certified Teacher.

Her enthusiasm for teaching began in high school, when she started tutoring mathematics and later worked as a mathematics and learning skills instructor at several Oxford Learning Centres in Toronto. After completing her Bachelor of Education, Mrs. Batts combined her love of teaching with her passion for travel, relocating to the United Kingdom in 2011. There, she taught in both secondary schools and further education institutions across England, gaining valuable international experience and refining her teaching practice.

An International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma graduate herself, Mrs. Batts is excited to return to Canada in 2025 and to join the SJK community. She looks forward to reigniting her passion for IB teaching and learning, bringing a globally minded perspective into the classroom. Her goal is to inspire curiosity in mathematics through engaging problem-solving and meaningful learning experiences. By building a strong foundation in the Middle Years Programme and fostering confidence in the Diploma Programme, she aims to prepare students for success at SJK and beyond.
