Welcome to BEYOND: The SJK Alumni Newsletter

Whether you are one of almost 1,200 SJK graduates or 2,200 former students, we are the alumni of St. John's-Kilmarnock School. Since opening its doors in Elora in 1972, SJK has continued to evolve and change. Although it may be a younger school than some, we have given it a rich history. We have seen the School become co-ed, change location, and continue to grow and expand. We are now at a pivotal and exciting point in SJK's history.

My name is Cayley Stanko '08, and I am SJK's Associate Director, Alumni Relations. I am the first incumbent to fill this role and invite you to imagine the potential for this program - anything that will bring the most value to our community.

To begin with, I would love to see a fun and engaging calendar of events for alumni to reconnect with one another. The alumni calendar could consist of local meet-ups, destination events in major cities across Canada, as well as some options that allow for virtual access with live streaming. These events would range from social gatherings to professional networking opportunities.

Everyone can benefit from an enriched alumni program in one way or another, and together we can make this program succeed. The most important thing you can do is to Reconnect with the School tto update the School with the best ways to stay in touch with you. This will allow SJK to keep you well-informed and involved as the program grows.

I encourage everyone to like our Facebook PageInstagram, and LinkedIn Group to stay up to date on what's happening, in addition to some fun throwbacks and trips down memory lane!

We welcome submissions for this quarterly newsletter - please feel free to contact me with any and all ideas you may have!
